Spalite Hotel offers a unique atmosphere that feels like home but
It still manages to retain a professional touch. The warm hospitality of the owners, Frank and Trish, really made my two-night stay delightful. I particularly appreciated the homemade treats available during breakfast, showcasing their personal touch. parking was rather limited, making it a slight inconvenience.

A delightful stay by the docks
Stayed for five nights and loved the spotlessly clean room and the warm, welcoming hosts. Breakfasts were especially delicious, featuring fresh fruits and a perfect full cooked option!
The limited storage space in the twin room could be challenging for longer stays. our hosts were attentive and promised improvements.

Try asking for a personalized parking permit. it can save you from looking for street parking.

The breakfast was outstanding value—plenty of options to fuel up before a busy day. The proximity to the docks and shops made it convenient for exploring the local scene.
Limited parking availability can be a hassle. you might find yourself searching for a spot off-site. The decor felt a bit dated and could use a refresh, with some areas appearing cluttered. Low water pressure in the showers dampened the bathing experience, and noise from the street could be a concern for light sleepers. Shared bathroom arrangements in certain rooms may not suit everyone, particularly if you prefer more privacy.

The room was comfy, had a microwave I wasn't expecting, and a fridge stocked with fresh milk and bottled water, which was a nice touch. The thick curtains blocked out the light well, and I appreciated the quietness of the space. the decor felt a bit dated and mismatched, but it didn't really bother me since it added character. it had all I needed for a pleasant stay.

I stayed for one night and found everything well-kept and comfortable. The attention to detail was impressive, like having fresh milk bottles instead of typical cartons. The room came equipped with a flat-screen TV and a kettle, making my stay cozy and enjoyable.
The building has some creaks and noises.

great stay but some areas need attention
I appreciated the cleanliness of my room, and the complimentary amenities added a nice touch. The location was excellent, with easy access to the historic docks and local pubs within walking distance. The cooked breakfast exceeded my expectations in both quality and quantity, making my mornings delightful.
The bar area felt a bit cluttered, which detracted from the overall ambiance.

It was just a suitable option for a stopover in Gloucester with excellent value for money. The warm hospitality made my brief stay enjoyable, and I appreciated the clean room prepared with care. Avoid peak hours for breakfast if you prefer a quieter experience.
